Ropes, Rigging, and Rescue -- Advanced

ropescourseThis 12-hour advanced course is geared towards the student with knowledge of ropes and rescue systems.  There will be 4hrs of classroom.  The remaining 8hrs will be practical application and will take place on Cedar Mt just west of Cody.


Lynn and Baker have 35 years of surface mine rescue experience, 23 years in the Newcastle Volunteer Fire Department, with experience in technical climbing and Search & Rescue.   Peterson has 10 years of mine rescue and 26 years of fire service between Newcastle and Campbell County Fire.

Required Gear: Boots, Helmet, Gloves, Safety Glasses, Personal Harness (if you have one), Appropriate outdoor clothing, Turnouts/Bunker Gear, Task book for FF1 or FF2.
